Week is not looking good...but it is March!

I have had soda every work day so far - I am not Catholic, but so much for giving something up for Lent, but I am putting it out there now, no more soda!

The first 2 days were because there was "free" soda in the fridge - ie left over from a company function. Today was because I had cash in my pocket leftover from the weekend.

Monday and Tuesday I stayed at work until 6 pm which in unheard of. Monday and Tuesday are the 2 days I don't have to worry about getting the kids from after-care, but we are also in the middle of a huge project which necessitated some late afternoon meetings.

Tuesday I was tired - I was still tired from a late Sunday night watching the Oscars. And then I woke up at 4:30 to go running - yep, I did it. I got my 4 miles in! But I never sleep well before getting up to run - or should I say, when I rarely get up to run, I don't sleep well. During the period in 2015 where I was getting up a lot, I eventually started sleeping well because it was a routine.

I wanted to get 4 miles in to have 37 for the month and 60 for the year, which I did. It was not freezing - in the 30s, but didn't feel cold. I was comfortable (or a tad warm) in tights and a long sleeve shirt. So now I need 40 for March to hit 100 in Q1 (and the goal to be 400 by the end of the year, though the goal I have in RunKeeper is 365 per Mark Zuckerburg's challenge. But 400 is what i did in 2014 and 2015.

Tomorrow morning is supposed to be in the 50s at 5 am and then drop into the 20s by the evening and be cool all weekend, so I want to get a warm run in and start my March miles.

Tonight I am going to get my steps in on the bike and see how many steps I get in 10 minutes riding the bike (I get about 1200 in walking very leisurely).

So glad it is March!
